Destructive material testing is an essential element for good quality assurance. Zeppelin tests its materials mechanically to their very limits. We test the strength, elongation and hardness of the materials used, amongst other things. We adhere to standard values or test in accordance with individual customer specifications.
A variety of test processes are available for non-destructive material testing. Two quality criteria are decisive with each choice of testing technology in order to achieve a satisfactory result: the testing laboratory's equipment and the expertise of its personnel.
We have state-of-the-art test facilities and an extensive range of equipment. Our qualified inspectors (up to level 3 in accordance with EN ISO 9712 / EN 4179) are all experienced professionals. Our processes have been checked by an independent institute (Performance Review Institute) on a regular basis for many years. We fully satisfy the requirements of the NADCAP accreditation called for within the aviation industry. Our experts are also in demand within the field of pressure equipment (HP 5/3 DGR).
Our personnel is extremely well qualified and equally dedicated and committed. For example, on-site visits with our mobile X-ray tubes are an obvious service for our customers.
